After 45 years of hard work and grassroots struggle, the organic community has built up a $30 billion organic food and farming industry and community. But 10% annual growth isn’t enough to avert the public health, environmental and climate crisis ahead – a crisis caused in large part by industrial agriculture. The first step toward an Organic Alternative is to pass truth-in-labeling laws. It’s time to support the Nov. 6th California Ballot Initiative (Proposition 37) to require labels on genetically engineered foods and to ban the routine industry practice of marketing GMO-tainted foods as “natural” or “all natural.” The outcome of this ballot initiative will determine whether GMO foods are labeled – not only in California, but across the entire United States and Canada as well.

Today I’m asking the organic community – in California and nationwide – to approach the managers of the retail stores, CSAs, restaurants, or farmers markets where you regularly buy your organic food and ask them to endorse Prop 37, educate their consumers and financially support Prop 37. “Behind our wounds”

What is a wound?
A wound is an emotional and  or a physical imbalance that is transmitted from generation to generation.
How do you know if you are carrying such wounds? There are often physical and emotional clues to their existence.. An example would be Hearing a young person say I am afraid of having a heart attack in my 40s, because my dad had one at 45 out of the blue and died.
Or My family has always not trusted those___kind of people because his brothers killed my grandfather.

“Biophotons- template for lasting health”

The ultimate reality of nature is LIGHT and without light there can be no life.
The body is composed of light. So to heal, light must be used to heal light.
The time has come to approach the human body from a physics point of view, instead of a chemical approach. Using biontology, one can find and treat the origins of the problem instead of the symptoms. To date, tens of thousands of people have been regained their health after the chronic conditions after their biophon energy was aligned. Humans are light beings
Every cell emits more than 100 000 light impulses per second. These light impulses are
called biophotons. Every biophoton is an information package that precedes a biochemical reaction. Without a biophoton signal there is no chemical reaction in the body or in any other living substance.
If there is anything wrong in the biochemistry in the body, then there must be something wrong in the biophotons steering the system. This biochemical imbalance is impossible to correct without first correcting the steering signal. If you try to correct the chemical imbalance with other chemical substances, you only increase the chaotic circumstances and the stress in the body and nothing is cured but more disturbing signals are added.
This might lead to sufficient stress in the body so that it starts producing lots of
endorphins. Endorphins are the body’s own morphine and symptoms will be suppressed,
giving the appearance of healing, but the disease spreads.

” Treating Autism with Craniosacral Therapy “

What is Craniosacral Therapy?

Few body structures have more influence over your health and well-being than your central nervous system, and the body system that has the most impact on your central nervous system is your craniosacral system.  By helping the central nervous system to perform at its best, Craniosacral Therapy naturally eliminates pain and stress, strengthens your resistance to disease, and enhances your health and well-being.
Craniosacral Therapy is an alternative approach to traditional healthcare that was developed from clinical trials at Michigan State University beginning in 1975. At that time, Dr. John E. Upledger, D.O., O.M.M. led a team of anatomists, physiologists biophysicists and bioengineers to test and document the influence of therapy on the body’s craniosacral system – the bones, membranes, and fluid that surround and protect the brain and spinal cord.

How Can Craniosacral Therapy Help Autism?
Today there are a variety of treatments available for the treatment of Autism and Autism Spectrum Disorder, but Craniosacral Therapy has proven to be outstanding among popular methods of alternative treatment.

Dr. Carlos Pardo, researcher at John’s Hopkins University, has performed detailed analysis of Autism patients, used cerebrospinal fluid to evaluate markers of neuro-inflammation in patients with regressive forms of Autism. His research found increased levels of pro-inflammatory cytokines and inflammatory changes in the cerebrospinal fluid of the autistic patients studied.

These changes can compromise the craniosacral system causing loss of flexibility and probable inflammation of the membrane layers surrounding the brain. This can result in abnormal pressure changes within the brain, causing brain tissue congestion and toxicity.
Craniosacral Therapy focuses on balancing the flow of cerebrospinal fluid and restoring mobility to the membrane layers surrounding the brain, helping the brain flush toxins and inflammation out of brain tissue.  It gently and non-intrusively unlocks cerebrospinal fluid passageways along the length of the brain, spinal cord and central nervous system. This elevates biochemical processing, increasing the function of neurons and neurological pathways. Increased mobility of brain tissues and fluids helps decrease the abnormal strain the brain has been under. Brain cells are then able to better process and react to all sorts of information.  Craniosacral Therapy should be continued until the child reaches adulthood since there’s a tendency for the membranes to tighten as growth spurts occur.
Parents of children with Autism often report that after Craniosacral Therapy sessions their child is more relaxed, better to make eye contact, is more verbal, demonstrates improved socialization, and increased ability to express love and affection. Improved function of the craniosacral system has been shown to be beneficial in relieving typical autistic behaviors such as head banging, thumb sucking and toe walking. These behaviors can be either alleviated or diminished with Craniosacral Therapy because small changes in the craniosacral system can create even larger changes in the entire body.

“Vitamin D + Autism symptoms

Vitamin D is not really a vitamin at all – it is a pre-hormone that’s produced in your skin in response to sunlight exposure. As such, it is an integral part of human health and longevity.

Dr. Cannell answers reader’s questions and sheds light on some of the latest papers on

vitamin D. 

On Autism

Dear Dr. Cannell:
My son James weighs 48lb, he is 7 yrs old. He had autistic symptoms for almost 5 years (first noticed when he was 2 yrs old). I initially started him on 2,000 IU last November after he caught the flu. Two weeks later, I noticed improvements in areas of social interaction, verbalization. I then increased his dosage to 5,000 IU per your recommendation, and he got better.

His progress has been so great that his kindergarten teacher and Speech Therapist have recommended that he exit the Early Intervention Program.

He is more social, making friends easily, participating in cooperative play, and soon to be in a regular classroom. I think it might be bad luck to say he is cured. Is that possible in a genetic disease? A friend told me he must never have had autism but whatever it was, I don’t want it back. I remember what he was like, and me, too. No thanks.

I’m writing because my son’s pediatrician just called and told me James’s 25(OH) level was 122. He believes he must be toxic because of that level and wants me to stop giving him all vitamin D supplements and recheck his vitamin D level next month. James feels great and shows no signs of toxicity.

What should I do?
Mary, New York

Dear Mary:
That is wonderful news about your son. He is not toxic. However, he should reduce his vitamin D to 2,000 IU/day and recheck his blood level in a month. Some of his symptoms may come back; I don’t know but do not fear, if the symptoms return the vitamin D will take care of them. It appears to me that high dose vitamin D controls, rather than “cures,” some cases of autism. If his level in a month is below 100 ng/ml, the pediatrician will be happy as that is the upper range of normal vitamin D levels.

Yes, autism is a genetic disease, so how can vitamin D treat it? I suspect that one of vitamin D’s many duties in the body is to protect your genome from mutations, organizing the correction of random and point mutations when they occur. Think of your son as having DNA that is unlikely to function properly with lower levels of vitamin D. How long his DNA will be sensitive to low vitamin D, I don’t know.

An immediate question is how much vitamin D to give him now. You want to give him the lowest dose that controls his symptoms. I suspect that he will end up needing 3,000 to 4,000 IU per day to maintain his 25(OH)D around 80-90 ng/ml.

What is a whole grain?
A whole grain is a grain unprocessed and straight from Mother Nature.
They include: amaranth, barley, brown rice, bulgar wheat, couscous, millet, oatmeal, popcorn (seed), quinoa, sorghum and triticale (a hybrid of rye and wheat whole oats, whole rye, wild rice (a blend of seeds) and whole wheat.

To be a whole grain it must still contain the bran and germ, when it is processed the brain and germ are removed, leaving behind the white endosperm. This causes many nutrients to be left behind.
To try to make up for the bleeding of nutrients through processing, companies will throw in a sprinkle of vitamins and call their product “enriched”. There is nothing enriching about this scam. 25% of their original protein content and 17 other essential nutrients are usually lost.

Whole grain breads pack more protein, fiber, vitamins (B vitamins and vitamin E), and minerals (magnesium and iron), as well as some antioxidants not found in junk foods.

The U.S. government recommends that half of your daily grains servings should be whole grains. That’s at least three servings of whole grains per day.

Even desserts can be made more nutritious using whole grains and a natural sugar.

“Tai Chi appears to be a safe alternative to low-to-moderate intensity conventional exercise training,” for people with Chronic Heart Failure (CHD)  said Gloria Yeh of Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center head of the study team . CHD is a debilitating and progressive disease that limits a person’s ability to breathe and move.

People with chronic heart failure may be able to boost their quality of life by doing Tai Chi, the ancient Chinese exercise regimen that teaches each person control of their body, mind and emotional energy through gentle deliberate quiet motions.

Archives of Internal Medicine, a journal of the American Medical Association reported that the study was divided into two group sessions of one hour each per week were enough to show significant improvements in mood and confidence.
50 US heart patients were enrolled in Tai Chi program study led by an instructor who guided the class in a series of fluid motions and 50 others who took classroom study in heart education.

Physical responses were similar in both groups, but those who did tai chi showed “significant” improvements in their emotional state response questionaire. The Tai Chi group also reported better “exercise self-efficacy (confidence to perform certain exercise-related activities), with increased daily activity, and related feelings of well-being compared with the education group,” said the study.
“Tai Chi seems to be a safe alternative to low-to-moderate intensity conventional exercise training, It has a good rate of adherence and may provide value in improving daily exercise, quality of life, self-efficacy and mood in frail, deconditioned patients with systolic heart failure,” said Yeh.

Previous studies have suggested Tai Chi, which involves slow, circular movements and balance-shifting exercises, may be helpful to people who suffer from high blood pressure, fibromyalgia and stress. All ages and ability levels can benefit by daily Tai Chi practice.
