“Potential risks of squalene in flu vaccine worse than the flu"

This frenzy over upping the number of vaccines to supposedly prevent a host of nasty diseases –at what price?

“North American children are now the most vaccinated on earth. Since 1980, Canadian vaccine schedules have more than doubled the types of vaccines given; for the first 4-6 yrs of life alone, Public Health now recommends 43 doses of thirteen different vaccines. The first 8 doses are given in four shots at two months of age. It’s been declared that today’s children are the first generation whose parents will outlive them. Why?

H1N1 virus (Swine Flu)
H1N1 virus (Swine Flu)

Today, 10% of Canadian children have life threatening afflictions. In the last 25 years, concurrent with vaccine increase, there’ve been huge declines in children’s health in many categories:

* Autism – increased over 1000 times in less than one generation;

* Juvenile Diabetes – 104% increase since 1980; * Anaphylactic Food Allergies – doubled in the last decade;

* All types of Allergies – increased nearly six times;

* Obesity – now almost 20%, 3 times the prevalence in 1980;

*Attention Deficit Disorder – now almost 10%. (1)

Dr. Sherri Tenpenny, DO in the May 1, 2006 issue of NewsWithViews.com stated, “Multiple studies published in highly reputable publications have documented that flu shots are ineffective in all ages.” Besides being ineffective the adjuvant the biochemical catalyst added to the vaccine can pose further health risks.

After the Gulf War vets returned with a cascade of immuno -reactions called Gulf War syndrome.included “arthritis, fibromyalgia, lymphadenopathy, rashes, photosensitive rashes, malar rashes, chronic fatigue, chronic headaches, abnormal body hair loss, non-healing skin lesions, aphthous ulcers, dizziness, weakness, memory loss, seizures, mood changes, neuropsychiatric problems, anti-thyroid effects, anemia, elevated ESR (erythrocyte sedimentation rate), systemic lupus erythematosus, multiple sclerosis, ALS, Raynaud’s phenomenon, Sjorgren’s syndrome, chronic diarrhea, night sweats and low-grade fever.” research has attributed these symptoms to three batches of immunizations using squalen based adjuvant.(1)

squalen adjuvant in flu vaccine
squalen adjuvant in flu vaccine

Squalene is an oil-based adjuvant compound called MF-59. The main function of the adjuvant is to supercharge the live or dead virus(s) main ingredient in the diluted vaccine to make them more potent and kick start the response to the flu in the body. Two H1N1 vaccines being developed by companies Novartis and GlaxoSmithKline are adding squalene adjuvants to boost immunogenicity and dramatically reduce the amount of viral antigen needed. This translates to much faster production of desired vaccine quantities. Novartis’s proprietary squalene adjuvant for their H1N1 vaccine is MF59. Glaxo’s is ASO3. MF59 has yet to be approved by the FDA for use in any U.S. vaccine.

Natural Squalene as an oil molecule is native to your body. It is found throughout your nervous system and brain. In fact, olive oil will bless you with natural squalene and by consuming it will build your immune system as long as you are not sensitive or allergic to it.

Why does the body go to war with injected squalene compounds?

Injection is an abnormal route of entry which incites your immune system to attack all the squalene in your body, not just the vaccine adjuvant. Squalene compounded vaccines has been fingered at a possible culprit in the post Gulf War multiple health issues that these veterans continue to suffer. MF59 has yet to be approved by the FDA for use in any U.S. vaccine.

Flu vaccines can also contain a number of chemical toxins, including ethylene glycol (antifreeze), formaldehyde, phenol (carbolic acid) and even antibiotics like Neomycin and streptomycin. In addition to the viruses and aluminum and squalene. Vaccinations are biochemical cocktails for supression of the native immune systems that will not is help build immunity to potentially harmful organisms that cause illness and disease.

However, your body’s immune system is already designed to do this in response to organisms that invade your body naturally. Build your immunity by eating organic healthy raw and steamed fruits and seasonal veggies, staying well hydrated, getting plenty of sleep and exercise in fresh air.

From the American Academy Of Environmental Medicine

Immediate Moratorium On Genetically Modified Foods May 19, 2009

The American Academy of Environmental Medicine (AAEM) today released its position paper on Genetically Modified foods stating that “GM foods pose a serious health risk” and calling for a moratorium on GM foods. Citing several animal studies, the AAEM concludes “there is more than a casual association between GM foods and adverse health effects” and that “GM foods pose a serious health risk in the areas of toxicology, allergy and immune function, reproductive health, and metabolic, physiologic and genetic health.”

– Dr. Amy L. Dean, D.O. Public Relations Chair Member, Board of Directors American Academy of Environmental Medicine 734-213-4901 environmentalmed@yahoo.com

The AAEM calls for:

* A moratorium on GM food, implementation of immediate long term safety testing and labeling of GM food.
* Physicians to educate their patients, the medical community and the public to avoid GM foods.
* Physicians to consider the role of GM foods in their patients’ disease processes.
* More independent long term scientific studies to begin gathering data to investigate the role of GM foods on human health.

“Physicians are probably seeing the effects in their patients, but need to know how to ask the right questions,” said Dr. Jennifer Armstrong, President of AAEM. “The most common foods in North America which are consumed that are GMO are corn, soy, canola, and cottonseed oil.”

The AAEM’s position paper on Genetically Modified foods can be found at http:aaemonline.org/gmopost.html.

AAEM is an international association of physicians and other professionals dedicated to addressing the clinical aspects of environmental health. AAEM The American Academy of Environmental Medicine was founded in 1965, and is an international association of physicians and other professionals interested in the clinical aspects of humans and their environment. The Academy is interested in expanding the knowledge of interactions between human individuals and their environment, as these may be demonstrated to be reflected in their total health. The AAEM provides research and education in the recognition, treatment and prevention of illnesses induced by exposures to biological and chemical agents encountered in air, food and water.

Do not mess with the Federal Government or the Humane Society of America-This time both are the good guys.

U.S. Department of Justice Joins Suit Filed by Humane Society of the United States on Behalf of American Taxpayers

A federal district court in Los Angeles unsealed a major False Claims Act lawsuit filed by The Humane Society of the United States against the two companies—Hallmark Meat Packing and Westland Meat Company Inc.—responsible for the downed animal abuse scandal last year in Chino, Calif. The HSUS’s investigation into the mistreatment of animals too sick or injured to walk, which exposed abuses at the country’s second largest supplier of ground beef to the National School Lunch Program, led to the largest meat recall in the nation’s history.
The U.S. Department of Justice for joining The HSUS in seeking to hold federal meat suppliers accountable when they fail to provide humane treatment of animals in accordance with federal law,” said Jonathan R. Lovvorn, vice president & chief counsel for animal protection litigation at The HSUS. “The meat industry should take notice that if they defraud federal agencies and the American taxpayers by abusing animals, there will be serious consequences for their inhumane and reckless actions.”

The suit wants to hold Hallmark Meat Packing and Westland Meat Company Inc.accountable for the downed animal abuse scandal last year in Chino, Calif. In the HSUS’s investigation into the mistreatment of animals too sick or injured to walk exposed abuses at the country’s second largest supplier of ground beef to the National School Lunch Program this led to the largest meat recall in the nation’s history.

Sounds yummy for our childrens tummies-not so much.

Be true to organics-they will be true to you

True organic products are gaining momentum. Living more in harmony with the environment and lessorganic-food surrounded and filled with pollutants in our homes, food, environment, water and medicines.
The time has come, the consciousness is shifting and our industries including medicine, foods, education, agriculture must react to the consumers call to wholesomeness.

In La Crosse, Wisconsin the nation’s largest organic farming conference begins today. The organizer Eric Hatling with the Midwest Organic and Sustainable Education Service (MOSES) says interest in organic is rapidly growing among both growers and shoppers. This event will focus 3,000 attendees producers, consumers and environmentalists encouraging them to share growing and marketing tips

Farmers are getting fair prices for their certified-organic products. Consumers want to know more about where their food comes from and how it’s produced.”

Hatling says perceptions and preferences about the food Americans eat are changing. For one thing, buyers don’t want food raised with synthetic chemicals such as pesticides, drugs or hormones.

Americans and people around the world are more concerned about how far their food has to travel before it reaches the consumers table. Freshness of the local products and buying locally supports their home economies.

Organic sales are growing by double-digits yearly even though they cost a little more they are cleaner, pesticide free and full of nutrition. The average commercial food or fruit grown by big farm has decreased in nutrition quality about 30% since the turn of the century.  It is time for more states to kick the pesticide habit, find ways to clean up the soil and go organic. Minnesota, Wisconsin and Iowa are among the top states in organic production, he adds.

Worms spread by not washing your hands

Trichinosis is a parasitic disease caused by eating raw or undercooked pork and wild game infected with the larvae of a species of roundworm Trichinella spiralis, commonly called the trichina worm. The few cases in the United States are mostly the result of eating undercooked game, bear meat, or home reared pigs. It is most common in the developing world and where pigs are commonly fed raw garbage.

Signs and symptoms

The great majority of trichinosis infections have either minor or no symptoms and no complications. Trichinosis initially involves the intestines. Within 1-2 days of contagion, symptoms such as nausea, heartburn, dyspepsia, and diarrhea may appear; the severity of these symptoms depends on the extent of the infection. Later on, as the worms encyst in different parts of the human body, other manifestations of the disease may appear, such as headache, fever, chills, cough, eye swelling, joint pain and muscle pain, petechiae, and itching.

Most symptoms subside within a few years. The most dangerous case is worms entering the central nervous system and the brain stem. They cannot survive there, but they may cause enough damage to produce serious neurological deficits (such as ataxia or respiratory paralysis), and even death.

Life Cycle of the worm

The worm can infect any species of mammal that consumes its encysted larval stages. When an animal eats meat that contains infective Trichinella cysts, the acid in the stomach dissolves the hard covering of the cyst and releases the worms. The worms pass into the small intestine and, in 1–2 days, become mature. After mating, adult females produce larvae, which break through the intestinal wall and travel through the lymphatic system to the circulatory system to find a suitable cell. Larvae can penetrate any cell, but can only survive in skeletal muscle. Within a muscle cell, the worms curl up and direct the cell functioning much as a virus does. The cell is now called a nurse cell. Soon, a net of blood vessels surround the nurse cell, providing added nutrition for the larva inside.

A blood test or muscle biopsy can identify trichinosis. Stool studies can identify adult worms, with females being about 3 mm long and males about half that size

Symptoms can be treated with aspirin and corticosteroids. Thiabendazole can kill adult worms in the intestine; however, there is no treatment that kills the larvae. Correct diagnosis and surgery may be needed.

Detox nalgene

Drinking from polycarbonate Nalgene water bottles is an everyday activity for millions of people who want to stay healthy and hydrated while reducing their impact on the planet. Unfortunately, Nalgene users are getting an unhealthy dose of bisphenol A, the known endocrine disruptor, which leaches from polycarbonate water bottles into liquids. Studies indicate bisphenol A may lead to serious health problems including miscarriage, chromosomal defects and prostate cancer.

What we want
The Detox Nalgene campaign wants Nalgene to switch from using the chemical bisphenol A in their polycarbonate water bottles to a safer alternative.

Why we’re asking it
In approximately 200 published animal and human cell studies, exposure to bisphenol A has been shown to cause serious adverse effects including miscarriage, impaired brain development, male and female reproductive defects, early onset of puberty, obesity and most recently, cancer. Please click here to check our bisphenol A fact sheet and links to studies.

How we’ll win
We will use consumer and retailer organizing to educate Nalgene users about this dangerous chemical, and to apply pressure to Nalgene to make this important change in production. We will be sending the company mass quantities of emails, written letters, and messages tucked inside our old Nalgene bottles. Our message is clear: Nalgene, stop using bisphenol A and any other harmful chemicals in your products. We have been loyal customers- it is time you act responsibly and protect our health and the health of the environment.

Rural Farm land gold of the future

Conquering new lands is happening again. This type of take over of one country by another is happening through the buy out of the poorer country’s  arable lands which are now worth their weight in gold. As the world food shortage escalates and country’s run out of both food and water, countries short of resources and corporations desperate for profits are buying up arable land in emerging nations.

The non-governmental organizations representing the little poor guy are voicing alarm at this “global land grab,” which they say is threatening the survival of rural livelihoods in some parts of the world.

The practice is being carried out in part by countries which have little arable land and have been hit this year by soaring food prices, and by investors who are getting burned in the financial crisis and are tempted by the profits from food products.

“So governments that rely on imports to feed their people are snatching up vast areas of farmland abroad for their own offshore food production,” said the Spanish-based NGO Grain.

“On the other hand, food corporations and private investors, hungry for profits in the midst of the deepening financial crisis, see investment in foreign farmland as an important new source of revenue.”

The result is that fertile agricultural land is becoming privatized and concentrated and controlled by big agriculture and investment banks for GMO food production and the devastation of the environment.

The Arab countries in the Gulf, China, Egypt, India, Japan and South Korea are looking to buy out large areas in the Philippines, Cambodia, Uganda and Brazil, said Grain. While in South Korean  a group Daewoo Logistics is negotiating with the government of Madagascar for the acquisition of 1.3 million hectares of land, the equivalent of more than half of the land under cultivation in the country, to produce maize and palm oil.

The buying up of arable land “is a phenomenon of huge magnitude” which has undergone “a sudden acceleration,” said Paul Mathieu, of the UN Food and Agricultural Organisation’s Land Tenure and Management unit.

This could spell the end of small-scale farming, and rural livelihoods, in numerous places around the world.

Increasing transparency in transactions between investor states and local communities giving up territory is needed. The negotiations between outside investors and the local community, need to be clear and fair to both sides.

WHO sets melamine limits

WHO sets first limits for safe melamine levels in food-safe this is an industrial chemical that has a cumulative effect on living kidney tissues.

GET RID OF IT1melamine-chem

Demand to know how many products and how much melamine and cyanuatic acid its cousin is tainting our milk and food supply, Then do not buy from companies that use these poisons.

Melamine has been routinely mixed into Chinese milk and dairy products to give them the impression of having higher protein content and a richer flavor, Cyanuratic acid has been used to clean equipment.

The World Health Organization (WHO) on December 5, 2008 issued safety limits for melamine levels in food as international concern mounted over a widening tainted food scandal in China.

It is the first time WHO experts have issued safety limits for the use of the industrial chemical and they stressed that melamine should not be used in food at all.

The so-called Tolerable Daily Intake (TDI) has been fixed at 0.2 mg per kilogramme of body weight. This means that a person who weighs 50kg can tolerate up to 10mg of melamine per day, said the WHO.

For how long is it tolerable for our neonats and our infants?

The UN agency stressed however that the industrial chemical “should not be in food” even though traces are sometimes unavoidable?

“The TDI is meant to help national authorities set safe limits in food for withdrawal purposes should melamine be detected as a result of intentional adulteration,” added the WHO.

The scandal has led many countries around the world, including the 27-nation European Union, to ban Chinese milk imports and Chinese foods containing soya and Chinese-made baking powder will also have to be tested after high levels of melamine were found.

How come they can do something about it while the US does little to nothing to protect our children? We have no idea if melamine is effecting any other age group.

China said Monday that 294,000 children had been made ill by consuming dairy products containing melamine, with 154 still in serious condition.

China said six deaths since September may have been caused by tainted dairy products. The “confirmed ” death toll so far is three infants.

Beware of tainting of prooducts any food or condiment that has been in contact with melamine including chicken eggs, soya products, candy any Chines food products are suspect now.

The full impact of melamine in international food products and agriculture stock and their feed has just begun to be felt.

"Nanoparticles the next major health hazard"

The potential health threats of Nanoparticles :

“When materials are brought down to the nanoscale dimension, their properties for some performance characteristics dramatically change,” said Cagin. ” We have demonstrated that when you go to a particular length scale between 20 and 23 nanometers you actually improve the energy-harvesting capacity by 100 percent.

The gold and silver nanoparticles are beginning to come under close scrutity.

Nanoparticles could threaten human organs such as the liver, heart, kidneys and lungs and brain. Nanoparticles are found in the air, products, soil and through medicine and medical procedures. the problem is that they are so tiny a single particle is one billionth of a meter (3.9 feet) and they accumulate where they lodge. Lodging in the ear after cell phone use; on the body after wearing clothes made withem or wearing them as a medical device or applying them on the skin in the form of retinol A or sunscreen. There have been no long term studies to understand the effects on biological systems including the human body. Now biologicval systems mean no studies on what happen as they enter cells whether it is plant or animal -what does it do to the DNA and other cell organelles and is the effects carried into the chromosomes for the next generation to deal with.

Gold nanoparticles are everywhere. They are used in cancer treatments, automobile sensors, cell phones, blood sugar monitors and hydrogen gas production. However, until recently, scientists couldn’t create the nanoparticles without producing synthetic chemicals that had negative impacts on the environment.gallery-nanoparticle-toxicity-large

“The smaller a particle, the further it can travel through tissue, along airways or in blood vessels,” Dr. Adnan Nasir, a clinical assistant professor of dermatology at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, told The New York Times. “Especially if the nanoparticles are indestructible and accumulate and are not metabolized, if you accumulate them in the organs, the organs could fail,” he said.

Minuscule nanoparticles added to consumer products increasingly may be swarming through the body and threatening organs like the liver, U.S. scientists fear.

Even when made of inert elements, nanomaterials take on unique properties, research suggests. Animal studies indicate nanoparticles can penetrate cells and tissues, move through the body and brain and cause biochemical damage. They have also been linked to testicular cancer and cardiovascular system damage and may pose an environmental hazard, studies suggest. Even a separate study by the U.S. Commerce Department’s National Institute of Standards and Technology found stoves and toaster ovens emit ultrafine particles of 2 to 30 nanometers.

Their use in lotions and creams particularly in mineral sunscreens has drawn the most critical attention. Consumer products with nanoparticles or based on nanotechnology like clothing, surface treatment, cosmetics and transports. Through these products the most direct contact to consumers occur. The potential health problems related to the use of the products need to be studied immediately and assessed.

The U.S. Environmental Agency is seeking public review and comment on a petition asking the agency to classify nanoscale silver as a pesticide.
The petition, filed by the International Center for Technology Assessment and others, also calls on the EPA to require formal pesticide registration of all products containing nanoscale silver, analyze the potential human health and environmental risks of the tiny germ-killing particles, and take regulatory action against existing products that contain the material.

“Nanosilver is an unknown threat not only to the environment but also to human health,” center staff attorney George Kimbrell said. “The public has no idea that consumer products contain potentially dangerous nanoparticles because no labeling is currently required.”

But of 67 firms approached only eight submitted information on the use of nanotechnology in their products. until all the necessary safety tests are carried out, the simple fact is we just don’t know enough.

Individuals must take care of their own health and family safety. The government has not yet required manufacturers of nanomaterials products to have an independent assessment and long term research to determine the safety of all products.

Industry response

In May researchers at the Institute of Occupational Medicine, Edinburgh, asked the government to restrict use of carbon nanotubes – in car panels, tennis rackets and bike frames – claiming they posed a cancer risk similar to that of asbestos.

Kimbrell said silver is toxic to fish, aquatic organisms and microorganisms. A 2008 study showed that washing nanosilver socks released substantial amounts of the nanosilver into laundry discharge water, which will ultimately reach natural waterways, the center said.

Melamine and cyanuric acid deathly duo for US infants

China said Monday that a total of 294,000 children had fallen ill and six deaths since September 10 may be linked to the consumption of melamine-laced milk. About 861 children remained in hospital and that 154 were “serious” cases as of December 1, 2008.

Melamine is a chemical normally used to make plastics had been routinely mixed into Chinese milk and dairy products to give them the impression of having higher protein content for years. The effects seem to be cumulative in neonats and infant only formula fed are hit the hardest.

Melamine can cause kidney stones and kidney failure. Now it seems the US FDA has found the substance in trace amounts in our infant formula supply line and the Bush administration and FDA Hid Names of Melamine Contaminated Infant Formula Products from the Public.

The truth about the melamine only became public after the Associated Press filed a Freedom of Information Act request, demanding the test results from the FDA. Absent that request, this whole issue would have continued to remain an FDA secret.

The FDA found melamine and cyanuric acid, a related chemical, in samples of baby formula made by majorU.S. manufacturers.

Melamine can cause kidney and bladder stones and, in worst cases, kidney failure and death. If melamine and cyanuric acid combine, they can form round yellow crystals that can also damage kidneys and destroy renal function.good-start-formula1

Melamine was found in Good Start Supreme Infant Formula With Iron made by Nestle, and cyanuric acid was detected in Enfamil Lipil With Iron infant formula powder made by Mead Johnson.

A spokesman for Nestle did not respond to repeated calls and e-mails for comment yesterday.

Gail Wood, a spokeswoman for Mead Johnson, said the company does not think that cyanuric acid poses aimages-4 health threat to infants. “Cyanuric acid is approved by the FDA to sanitize processing equipment,” she said. “The risks of not sanitizing equipment are far greater than ultra trace amounts of residual cyanuric acid found in the formula.”

The FDA has been testing hundreds of food products for melamine in the aftermath of a scandal this year involving Chinese infant formula tainted with melamine. Chinese manufacturers deliberately added the chemical to watered-down formula to make it appear to contain higher levels of protein. More than 50,000 Asian infants were hospitalized, and at least four died.

After that decision, the FDA is now under intense fire for once again betraying the public trust and acting to protect the interests of corporations rather than the people. Congress, public health groups and consumer advocate are blasting the FDA for utterly disregarding public safety and catering (once again) to the financial interests of the companies it regulates.

The FDA collected 87 samples of infant formula made by American manufacturers, tested all but 10 of them and held a conference call with manufacturers to alert them to the preliminary findings, FDA spokeswoman Judy Leon said. She said she did not know when the agency was planning to inform the public. Then The FDA back peddled and said there were trace amounts in the infant formula’s and would need to do safety tests then they said these trace amounts were safe????

How can one say that poisonous substance is not harmful in trace amounts without testing over years of time. How can the FDA and the Bush administration leave our most helpless infants at such a risk!

“We will use our actions and high quality of our food products to win the trust and confidence of Chinese people and people around the world.”

However it remains unclear just how much of China’s food is contaminated with melamine and other dangerous substances.

A few days after Wen’s comments in October, it emerged that some Chinese eggs also had traces of melamine, with the chemical mixed into chicken feed to give it the appearance of higher protein content.

The discovery of melamine in eggs raised concerns that it could be in many other Chinese foods, with the suspicion that it may have been mixed into other livestock feed.

Other Chinese foods have come under scrutiny for safety issues in recent years.

Dumplings laced with pesticide have been discovered in Japan, while the Chinese and international media have reported on problems such as steroid-laced pigs and fish being fed antibiotics so they can survive in polluted water.
