“Be Slim, trim and healthy -the secret”

Let’s get real. There is nothing “natural” about high fructose corn syrup, table sugar or brown sugar. Without man manipulating cane sugar or corn none of these products would exist.

Our waist lines would be slimmer, our brain and body chemistry would function better. Last but not least, without manmade sweeteners,  our emotional inner harmony would be improved and learning would be easier.

Sugar comes through our mouth into our digestive system then quickly passes into the blood through enzymes  in the small intestine creating the sugar high and shortly after the low.

To help curb the need to eat or drink sugary foods or drinks, so you can keep your weight and health in check, follow these tips.
Decrease or avoid breads, dried fruits coated in sugar or sweetener, crackers where sugars might be hiding. Learn to identify terms that mean added sugars on the ingredients list, including sugar, white sugar, brown sugar, cane sugar, confectioner’s sugar, corn syrup, crystallized fructose, dextrin, honey, invert sugar, maple syrup, raw sugar, beet sugar, cane sugar, corn sweeteners, agave, evaporated cane juice, glucose-fructose, granulated fructose, high fructose corn syrup, fructose, malt, molasses, aspartamine, saccharin, aspartame, sucralose, neotame, acesulfame potassium, stevia. and turbinado sugar.

If you take your coffee with sugar, try adding a small piece of cinnamon stick or vanilla bean to your cup. It adds flavor without adding caloric sweeteners.
When baking, reduce the amount of sugar in baking of muffins, breads and baked desserts. substitute apple or sweet vegetable puree like carrots  or squash blended up to replace the commercial sugar and gain vitamins, minerals and fiber.

Sweeten other food items with vanilla extract, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, or allspice can naturally sweeten a recipe.
Top your breakfast waffles or pancakes with fresh fruit compote instead of syrup or have a high quality green protein fruit shake to replace a meal.  Drinking a bottle of just juices is a waste of time and your waist besides being hard on your brain integration and your immune system. Giving yourself or your children a bottle of juice to drink at school on the playing field or at work will be counter productive to quality thinking and coordination.

Eliminate regular soda and caloric-sweetened beverages, by replacing them with Kombucha or green tea and lemon. High quality water is always the best and healthiest drink. Most Americans are chronically under hydrated water. “If you do not like to drink water add lemon or lime juice, a small amount of fresh fruit juice, or pieces of frozen fruit to it.

Avoid processed cereals or yogurts with added sweeteners.
As often as possible eat healthy whole organic foods or at least the freshest locally grown food you can get.

    "Buyers of Whole Foods Store products -beware"

    Whole Foods director told The Telegraph (UK) on August 6, 2009whole_foods_logo
    that buyers of Whole Foods products have been deceived.

    “We sell a bunch of junk. ” This admission was intended to get Wholefood Store owners to act.

    Mr Mackey of WF apologised for losing sight of the American-based company’s health food roots and said all retailers had a responsibility to help tackle Britain’s (and the rest of the world’s) obesity crisis.

    There needs to be a better balance. Will they now take the lead educating consumers and dare I say modeling good food behavior?

    “Potential risks of squalene in flu vaccine worse than the flu"

    This frenzy over upping the number of vaccines to supposedly prevent a host of nasty diseases –at what price?

    “North American children are now the most vaccinated on earth. Since 1980, Canadian vaccine schedules have more than doubled the types of vaccines given; for the first 4-6 yrs of life alone, Public Health now recommends 43 doses of thirteen different vaccines. The first 8 doses are given in four shots at two months of age. It’s been declared that today’s children are the first generation whose parents will outlive them. Why?

    H1N1 virus (Swine Flu)
    H1N1 virus (Swine Flu)

    Today, 10% of Canadian children have life threatening afflictions. In the last 25 years, concurrent with vaccine increase, there’ve been huge declines in children’s health in many categories:

    * Autism – increased over 1000 times in less than one generation;

    * Juvenile Diabetes – 104% increase since 1980; * Anaphylactic Food Allergies – doubled in the last decade;

    * All types of Allergies – increased nearly six times;

    * Obesity – now almost 20%, 3 times the prevalence in 1980;

    *Attention Deficit Disorder – now almost 10%. (1)

    Dr. Sherri Tenpenny, DO in the May 1, 2006 issue of NewsWithViews.com stated, “Multiple studies published in highly reputable publications have documented that flu shots are ineffective in all ages.” Besides being ineffective the adjuvant the biochemical catalyst added to the vaccine can pose further health risks.

    After the Gulf War vets returned with a cascade of immuno -reactions called Gulf War syndrome.included “arthritis, fibromyalgia, lymphadenopathy, rashes, photosensitive rashes, malar rashes, chronic fatigue, chronic headaches, abnormal body hair loss, non-healing skin lesions, aphthous ulcers, dizziness, weakness, memory loss, seizures, mood changes, neuropsychiatric problems, anti-thyroid effects, anemia, elevated ESR (erythrocyte sedimentation rate), systemic lupus erythematosus, multiple sclerosis, ALS, Raynaud’s phenomenon, Sjorgren’s syndrome, chronic diarrhea, night sweats and low-grade fever.” research has attributed these symptoms to three batches of immunizations using squalen based adjuvant.(1)

    Squalene is an oil-based adjuvant compound called MF-59. The main function of the adjuvant is to supercharge the live or dead virus(s) main ingredient in the diluted vaccine to make them more potent and kick start the response to the flu in the body. Two H1N1 vaccines being developed by companies Novartis and GlaxoSmithKline are adding squalene adjuvants to boost immunogenicity and dramatically reduce the amount of viral antigen needed. This translates to much faster production of desired vaccine quantities. Novartis’s proprietary squalene adjuvant for their H1N1 vaccine is MF59. Glaxo’s is ASO3. MF59 has yet to be approved by the FDA for use in any U.S. vaccine.

    Natural Squalene as an oil molecule is native to your body. It is found throughout your nervous system and brain. In fact, olive oil will bless you with natural squalene and by consuming it will build your immune system as long as you are not sensitive or allergic to it.

    Why does the body go to war with injected squalene compounds?

    Injection is an abnormal route of entry which incites your immune system to attack all the squalene in your body, not just the vaccine adjuvant. Squalene compounded vaccines has been fingered at a possible culprit in the post Gulf War multiple health issues that these veterans continue to suffer. Flu vaccines can also contain a number of chemical toxins, including ethylene glycol (antifreeze), formaldehyde, phenol (carbolic acid) and even antibiotics like Neomycin and streptomycin. In addition to the viruses and aluminum and squalene. Vaccinations are biochemical cocktails for supression of the native immune systems that will not is help build immunity to potentially harmful organisms that cause illness and disease.

    However, your body’s immune system is already designed to do this in response to organisms that invade your body naturally. Build your immunity by eating organic healthy raw and steamed fruits and seasonal veggies, staying well hydrated, getting plenty of sleep and exercise in fresh air.

    Be true to organics-they will be true to you

    True organic products are gaining momentum. Living more in harmony with the environment and lessorganic-food surrounded and filled with pollutants in our homes, food, environment, water and medicines.
    The time has come, the consciousness is shifting and our industries including medicine, foods, education, agriculture must react to the consumers call to wholesomeness.

    In La Crosse, Wisconsin the nation’s largest organic farming conference begins today. The organizer Eric Hatling with the Midwest Organic and Sustainable Education Service (MOSES) says interest in organic is rapidly growing among both growers and shoppers. This event will focus 3,000 attendees producers, consumers and environmentalists encouraging them to share growing and marketing tips

    Farmers are getting fair prices for their certified-organic products. Consumers want to know more about where their food comes from and how it’s produced.”

    Hatling says perceptions and preferences about the food Americans eat are changing. For one thing, buyers don’t want food raised with synthetic chemicals such as pesticides, drugs or hormones.

    Americans and people around the world are more concerned about how far their food has to travel before it reaches the consumers table. Freshness of the local products and buying locally supports their home economies.

    Organic sales are growing by double-digits yearly even though they cost a little more they are cleaner, pesticide free and full of nutrition. The average commercial food or fruit grown by big farm has decreased in nutrition quality about 30% since the turn of the century.  It is time for more states to kick the pesticide habit, find ways to clean up the soil and go organic. Minnesota, Wisconsin and Iowa are among the top states in organic production, he adds.

    Worms spread by not washing your hands

    tapeworm

    Do you or someone you love need another reason for good hands hygiene?

    Watch the video below; then read the rest of this post.

    http://media2.foxnews.com/112008/worm_tumor_700.wmv

    Trichinosis is a parasitic disease caused by eating raw or undercooked pork and wild game infected with the larvae of a species of roundworm Trichinella spiralis, commonly called the trichina worm. The few cases in the United States are mostly the result of eating undercooked game, bear meat, or home reared pigs. It is most common in the developing world and where pigs are commonly fed raw garbage.

    Signs and symptoms

    The great majority of trichinosis infections have either minor or no symptoms and no complications. Trichinosis initially involves the intestines. Within 1-2 days of contagion, symptoms such as nausea, heartburn, dyspepsia, and diarrhea may appear; the severity of these symptoms depends on the extent of the infection. Later on, as the worms encyst in different parts of the human body, other manifestations of the disease may appear, such as headache, fever, chills, cough, eye swelling, joint pain and muscle pain, petechiae, and itching.

    Most symptoms subside within a few years. The most dangerous case is worms entering the central nervous system and the brain stem. They cannot survive there, but they may cause enough damage to produce serious neurological deficits (such as ataxia or respiratory paralysis), and even death.

    Life Cycle of the worm

    The worm can infect any species of mammal that consumes its encysted larval stages. When an animal eats meat that contains infective Trichinella cysts, the acid in the stomach dissolves the hard covering of the cyst and releases the worms. The worms pass into the small intestine and, in 1–2 days, become mature. After mating, adult females produce larvae, which break through the intestinal wall and travel through the lymphatic system to the circulatory system to find a suitable cell. Larvae can penetrate any cell, but can only survive in skeletal muscle. Within a muscle cell, the worms curl up and direct the cell functioning much as a virus does. The cell is now called a nurse cell. Soon, a net of blood vessels surround the nurse cell, providing added nutrition for the larva inside.

    A blood test or muscle biopsy can identify trichinosis. Stool studies can identify adult worms, with females being about 3 mm long and males about half that size

    Symptoms can be treated with aspirin and corticosteroids. Thiabendazole can kill adult worms in the intestine; however, there is no treatment that kills the larvae. Correct diagnosis and surgery may be needed.
